Rock Music
Rock & roll gave rise to rock music, which soon took off on its own. It is renowned for its powerful, upbeat beats, heightened instrumentation, and poignant lyrics. Rock music is frequently praised for its unadulterated, raw sound and has long been linked to social criticism and revolt.
Rock evolved from a number of then-popular genres, including blues, country, folk, jazz, and other forms. It became a universally recognized and enormously popular genre that swept the globe. Acoustic drums, electric guitar, bass, keyboard, and other electric instruments are all used in rock music.
Subgenres include punk rock, hard rock, indie rock, and alternative rock.
